While we first recommend exploring our high-density mobile systems to accommodate your current space, we also recognize that another option is available– investing in an off-site facility. An off-site facility will still require smart storage shelving solutions in order to not run into the same problems over and over again.
With the addition of collaborate workspaces, cafes, and lounge areas in existing libraries, workspaces, and other facilities, many files and larger collections are being moved to off-site facilities. Designed specifically for cases like this, X-Tend High-Bay Shelving Systems can store boxes, books, or other materials in off-site facilities. Off-site storage systems can be mobile or static units depending on your needs.
Static X-Tend High-Bay Shelving is off-site storage system that is very similar to your traditional book shelf, but makes the most of your off-site facility. The product considers the vertical aspect and can span up to 35 feet high.
An X-Tend Mobile off-site storage systems provide either the same amount of capacity as the static version in less space or more capacity in the same space.
Both X-Tend Static and Mobile High-Bay off-site storage systems offer:
XTend Mobile High-Bay Storage is designed specifically for high-density off-site archival storage
The polyester powder coat paint does not off-gas and keeps archived media safe for the long term, making XTend High-Bay ideal for consortium library warehouses, college archival facilities, and off-site archive document storage facilities.
Integral side-shelf supports, shelf backstops, upright baffle closure panels and flue spaces contain media and also help protect it from fire loss.
Shelves feature reinforced cold rolled steel box-formed construction and can be easily adjusted on vertical increments of 1-164 (26mm). No tools are required to relocate shelves.
Construction exceeds the most stringent NARA* fire suppression standards.
Rigorously tested through 30,000 operating cycles, XTend archival storage mobile systems are built with durability and reliability that can only result from 35 years of proven designs and experience with compact storage and heavy-duty industrial storage systems.
