Every campus has a health center.
Colleges and Universities are like small cities, they have many students, staff, and teachers entrusted to their care. Some Universities even have their own fully functioning hospitals that take in patients from the community as well. As with any healthcare facility or hospital, there are a number of things that need to be in order to maintain best practices and safety measures. Our storage not only helps maximize these areas of campus, but it helps to keep them clean and organized, and helps nurses and doctors do their job more efficiently.
Storage that Serves.
Whether you are a college and university health center or hospital there is always one main goal in mind: to treat patients, and to treat them effectively and as quickly as possible. Our storage experts have listened to these goals and design solutions with them in mind. We help put supplies right at the point of need, and sometimes directly with the patients themselves. There is substantial information that suggests that the quicker nurses can respond to a patient, the more time they can spend with patients, and this can help get patients on the road to recovery quicker. We help centralize materials on patient floors so that nurses can spend less time hunting and gathering and more time with actual patient care. One way health centers and hospitals have successfully centralized materials is through an area on each patient floor that is maximized to hold the most inventory in a small space. These spaces often put the vertical wall space to good use with color-coded bins that are interchangeable and can be modified based off of what needs to be stored.
Designed with Patients and Nurses in mind.
Putting medical supplies on patient floors can minimize the time nurses spend hunting for supplies. But what if you didn’t even need to take the 5-10 minutes to go down the hall? We have designed a solution that puts 80% or more of what is needed daily right in the patient rooms themselves. These Nurse Servers can be accessed in the actual room itself through the closet door, or, in an effort to not disturb the patient, the shelving unit can also be pulled out into the hallway and accessed without entering the patient’s room.
Many hospitals and health centers require some sort of refrigerated area or room. A good solution for these spaces, especially if cleanliness is imperative and if the application is in a temperature controlled room is stainless steel mobile shelving. These systems are easy to clean due to the combination of steel wire shelving and rails that are flush with the floor.
Suspended Mobile Shelving
Another solution that works well in sterile areas is Suspended Mobile Shelving. This solution hangs from tracks above the floor rather than being embedded into the floor itself. This makes it easy to clean under the system, and it maximizes the sterile core storage areas while also making it easy for doctors to get what they need quickly.
